My husband has yet to realize that sometimes it would be better for him to be a "Fly on the wall". Usually he winds up being a fly stuck to a fly swatter.
Was Mr.Umbach on board with the accompanying article? I'd be more appreciative of the images on their own (or the article on it's own, for that matter)...instead, I'm left with the feeling that there was a lot of reaching here, on both sides. Nothing wrong with these images, per se, but this isn't even close to capturing the intimacy suggested by the article...and while most are aesthetically pleasing, I can say that I have seen dozens of absolutely identical pictures in adult magazines & websites. The difference? They weren't black & white. A roll of T-Max does not automatically equal art.
while many of the images are beautiful in themselves, i would definately agree that it seems that the photos are more staged than spontaneous moments of solitude...
The text is reaching for something that, to me, is not in the images --- and these range from highly contrived to one or two which are not and quite beautiful.
Nice pictures but the story doesn't match the writing in most of the shots. Only the shower pic looks like it is of a woman doing her own thing without thinking of the the fact that she is naked. All the others are way too contrived to relate to the story. Come on, when was the last time you woke up to find your wife innocently naked in the living room and WRAPPED IN SARAN WRAP? Give me a break.
