It's not so much that you have to avoid doing it as you have to avoid getting caught doing it. Cover the reality show. Don't be it.

Certainly not for public viewing, but I will say that writers like to be wooed with words… the form is irrelevant. Though I wonder if someone could Twitter their way into a person's heart. 250 characters doesn't exactly let you pour forth passion.

Do you have a policy against flirting with sources? Or is this par for the course?
Rules are meant to be broken right? I'm joking. This is a question that's much larger than a single survey. Does it happen? Yes. Does it mean that you actively work to avoid it or go after it? Not necessarily. Reporters are humans, not robots. But I definitely think, especially for women, you have to be careful about your reputation.

Are sexy journalists better at getting interviews?
I don't think so. Most reporters do a lot of interviews by phone. Maybe the better question is, "Do reporters with sexy voices get more from their interviews than those who don't?"

What are the most important factors for long-term success in a relationship?
Considering many journalists and writers are notorious for affairs, divorces, alcoholism, and associated addictive disorders, I don't know that we're poster children for how to keep the flame burning.

Lucrative, if you find the right advertisers.
