I spent the majority of my college career focused on keeping my scholarships and avoiding the Bible-thumpers who made up the majority of my peers. As a twenty-one-year-old senior I was finally ready to relax a little. I began going to some parties at my apartment complex that happened to be the hub of college housing for five different small colleges and universities.

I found one guy particularly interesting. At 6'10" he was an imposing figure that I was drawn to, mainly because his size contrasted sharply with his personality. He was shy. When I realized his shyness was keeping him from approaching me, I put into play my "Two Week Plan of Seduction." Time was scarce. Graduation was looming and within the month I'd be a career woman at my new entry-level finance job.

I redoubled my efforts to run into him. I invited him to drinking parties, card games, Scrabble tournaments, etc. He eventually agreed to stop by a small get-together in the apartment of a mutual friend. I had absolutely no intention of leaving college a virgin. I shaved my legs, trimmed my delicate bits, and chose my sexiest panties. Then I headed over to my friend's place.

I drank. I shamelessly flirted. I tried to woo him with my wit. I drank more. As the night continued my efforts to seduce my crush were getting me nowhere. At one point, six beers in, my hand fell from the table I was gripping and landed on his leg. He was wearing some pants with an amazing texture. I rubbed them gently and whispered, "How soft." He looked at me (perhaps for the first time) and told me his bed happened to be very soft too. I blushed but didn't have the nerve to ask him to show me.

The night came to a close and I was disappointed that my crush had left. As I was clearing up my bottles, a guy I had met a few times approached me, pulled my head to his face and kissed me deeply. He said he wanted to spend the night fucking me. Since my plan to seduce my crush hadn't worked, I decided I'd just let the night bring me what it would.

My Bible-thumping roommates would've been pissed I was bringing a semi-stranger into the apartment, so I had to sneak him in through the back door. This added an element of excitement to the adventure. We kissed again and he stripped me of my clothes. He pulled out some condoms and said he had every intention of using all of them. I nodded my concurrence.

He asked me what position I wanted to try. I didn't have the nerve to tell him I was a virgin. I just said that he could choose. He separated my thighs and began rubbing me. He let out a growl and said, "You're really hot for me." I almost corrected his assertion but I held my composure.

He gave no more pretenses. He put a condom on and entered me with a hard thrust. We spent the next six hours locked in passionate kisses and various positions. I never had an orgasm but he did. True to his word, he went through all of his condoms. He wasn't a bad fuck, for a backup.

Best one yet.

Sigh. These belong in Cosmo. Actually, is that where you guys are sourcing them from?

DK commented on 07/28

This doesn't turn me on. Instead, it makes me feel sorry for the poor tall shy guy. It reminds me of when I was younger and had opportunities but screwed them up due to inexperience and not knowing the right thing to say. Oh well, we gotta learn sometime. I just get the feeling there's a tall shy guy out there reading this who went to college in south Florida and is now kicking himself.

JCF commented on 07/28

I feel bad for the tall guy as well, and can relate to him, but this is real and not a hollywood ending where he would get the girl. I hate how I spent those college years so insecure and unable to take advantage of all these golden opportunities.

torn commented on 07/28

this is really below standard for you guys. what was the point of this piece? it wasn't funny, it wasn't thoughtful, it wasn't a turn on. Why would your readers want to read it?

nk commented on 07/28

i only opened this to tell you guys how much i hate it, in the hopes that eventually you will stop and devote the energy wasted on this to something else.

ihl commented on 07/28

Don't understand the bitterness at all. I find these to be highly compelling reads. A short account of someone's real life experience is inherently interesting, even when it's not. But then again, I'm not into traditional erotica, which I find incredibly boring.

lops commented on 07/28

So disingenuous! I look at this site for an unabashed, clear eyed view of sexuality. This is some cheap smut writing that a thirteen year old girl probably cranked out while she was trying to decide whether or not to masturbate for the first time.

AK commented on 07/28

Whether this story is fictional or based on true experience, I cannot say, but I feel sorry for this girl. No brains and no self-respect.

ID commented on 07/28

Nerve, what happened? You used to be so cool, so intelligently edgy and unpretentious. Now you're publishing bland cookie cutter stories, thinly guised advertisements and pop culture gossip. p.s. user comments are no substitute for real content

mg commented on 07/28

it seems that there is a homegrown terror squad of readers who hate 'my first time.' fictional or otherwise, i like a glimpse into another person's shoes, or panties?

vt commented on 07/29

I agree with the "terror squad". The quality of the writing on Nerve has taken a dive lately. 'My First Time' belongs in Teen Vouge.

ls commented on 07/29

I read a few features each week and I am happy that nerve has decided to feature the reader's stories. I feel as if all of the negative comments are coming from two or three people that keep posting on each new entry. If you don't like the feature you don't have to read it.

sd commented on 07/29

I kind of like these reader's stories too. I love a little smut as much as the next person, but sometimes i like the brutal honesty as well.

aj commented on 07/29

har har - i find it non-fascinating that every reader here goes "boo hoo hoo" how horrible yet my comment on the lame story about the guy-n-gal going to thailand and on the fellow's request, have a rather tame experience in some sex show where I comment on it as being - well - LAME drew little prickly admonishments. really readers, this place was never the shining example of some art-swank-sex hold-up . Em and Flo used to make me dry-heave with their diatribe. The personals are full of guys pretending to be girls (crepax I'm thinking of you) and to tell the truth I've had far more success on adultfriendfinder than here. This is just a little fantasy-place ... take it as it is and have fun with it. really .

egm commented on 07/29

what a lame story

SL commented on 07/30

I enjoy this series, a light-hearted look at something people take way too seriously.

MMB commented on 07/30

omg this is so similar to my first time it's . ..... creepy. i mean, REALLY similar.

rs commented on 07/30

for all of you complaining that these stories should be in teen vogue or they're not erotic enough... they're about LOSING YOUR VIRGINITY, an event that's often tinged with some innocence and sweetness, and rarely erotic for the girl because it usually hurts like hell. i wonder: are the cynics are just bitter former romantic posers??

nm commented on 07/31

This story supports what we men over 40 know to be true: Nice guys finish LAST. Notice, the aggressive guy got the nookie. Go to any bar or nightclub or whatever, and observe that the dickhead guys who make the biggest splash into the room get the gals' attention, and their lovin'. Biologists will say that aggressive behavior indicates high testosterone levels, which factors in to the gals' attraction to the aggressive guy. Oh well tall, nice guy.... luck favors the bold.

EW commented on 08/11

EW-I know that the whole "nice guys finish last" cliche is true for some but it doesn't work for me. I'm a woman who consistently goes for the nice guy. Please note that "nice" does not equal milquetoast. Nobody is attracted to a dishrag but Nice is the bare minimum. The douchebag Alpha type gets nowhere with me. I am of course only speaking for myself but I'm sure I'm not the only one.
