Is this a joke? There are seriously the photos that were picked as winners?
How about judging by committee... or letting Nerve's members decide? For voting, the Schulze method is pretty good. Given a limit set (10 or so), people rank them. Then, the winner is the pic that was preferred (ranked higher than another picture) most often. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schulze_method
The submission that won first prize is good... I have no problem with it. I can understand why that submission was chosen. Beyond that, I think some of these people must know the judges.
Every month, I look through the submissions. Every month, I am disappointed (bewildered) by the "winners." Sometimes I think the Daily Seige is Nerve's only redeeming quality anymore.
