Woody Allen and Dov Charney Kiss and Make Up

Last year, Woody Allen sued American Apparel after the company doctored an image of the actor/director from Annie Hall– adding a long beard, side curls and a black hat—and slapped it up on a billboard with the text "the holy rebbe" in Yiddish.

Allen was not amused and sued the company for $10 million claiming the company didn't have permission to use his image for advertising purposes, while founder Dov Charney played the First Amendment card.
Today, the two reached a $5 million settlement—most of which will be paid by AA's insurance company—in New York court.
