Eager locals are snapping up £20 tickets for the raunchy Full Monty-style routine. They will help raise some of the £300,000 needed to build a new nursery for 22 toddlers now taught in a rundown hut at the village's Church of England primary school.

Fellow organiser Caroline Smith, 44, said: "Everyone's talking about it - even my 79-year-old neighbour has bought a ticket. I hope she can handle the heat."

Nursery treasurer Megan Rudman, 28, is banking on a packed village hall on Thursday. "It's about time the women of Tackley had a bit of eye candy."
