Ah, So That's Why Obama Changed His Mind on Abu Ghraib...

Sabrina Harman photographed some sick shit for someone who claims to have been disgusted by what she witnessed. And while it's at least remotely understandable that she wouldn't report the abuse seen in her previously-released photos, it's much harder to imagine a young, cheerful, mousy, married woman letting these horrors slide...

At least one picture shows an American soldier apparently raping a female prisoner while another is said to show a male translator raping a male detainee.

Further photographs are said to depict sexual assaults on prisoners with... a truncheon, wire and a phosphorescent tube.

“I saw [name of a translator] fucking a kid, his age would be about 15 to 18 years. The kid was hurting very bad and they covered all the doors with sheets. Then when I heard screaming I climbed the door because on top it wasn’t covered and I saw [name] who was wearing the military uniform, putting his dick in the little kid’s ass…. and the female soldier was taking pictures.”

We can't imagine this was what the brass had in mind when they commanded soldiers to "do whatever it takes" to get information. No wonder Obama changed his mind about releasing these photos...
