We Missed Out On The First National Single Cougar Convention

Judging by the press and this cringe-worthy set of photos... we would not have been out of place with the cougars...

The unfortunately-named first National Single Cougar Convention (shudder) was held over the weekened near San Francisco, where it really takes an event like this one to hook up the single straight people. BuzzFeed, Examiner, and about eight other outlets rounded up the photos, many featuring empty dance floors and drunk people hanging all over each other. Honestly, we can sort of see why you guys were weirded out by our previous post about these kinds of singles events-- there's something very Lynchian about these snaps:

The event, sponsored by Rich Gosse's Society of Single Professionals, began with cocktails and appetizers... and presentations from different booth sponsors.

Author Francesca Gentille and Tahil Gesyuk, her partner who is 14 years younger, spoke to a room of close to 60 cougars on relationships with younger men. After the presentation, the Cougar Ball began with over a hundred “cubs”, or younger men, who arrived to mingle and dance with all the singles.
