We've Each Slept With Millions of People

The above poster was popular in the mid- to late-eighties, when the AIDS crisis was at a fever pitch. Surgeon General C. Everett Koop thought that those having sex with a non-virgin was akin to also having sex with that person's previous partners. Koop was laughed at for using the made-up average of 512 total partners per person, but he may not have been far off.
In a story for The Faster Times, based on a similar Telegraph feature that appeared yesterday, Nerve writer Megan Pleticha writes that she's "over two million" and that we should all go "have fun calling each other sluts," since, if you're no longer a virgin and with that kind of math, there's only one other category you fall into.
A new internet calculator allows people to work out the total number of indirect sexual partners they have had over their lifetime.Men claim to have had an average of nine sexual partners while the average women admits to 6.3 lovers, giving an overall average of 7.65. [Telegraph]
Based on that, the calculator ends up giving you a total number of people you've actually shared fluids with to about 2.8 million-- if you live in Britain. (In America, you might as well lock your doors and become a spinster, since you've slept with all 400 million.)
