NY Daily News Calls Mary-Louise Parker a Cougar

Okay, this whole cougar thing has gone too far. Mary-Louise Parker, though 45, is still a hot, not old actress (while we're at it, so is Courtney Cox). But because she's dating a man ten years her junior, the folks at the NY Daily News have taken it upon themselves to label her as a "cougar." In a headline!
In a story called There's a new cougar in town! 'Weeds' actress Mary-Louise Parker dating musician Charlie Mars, the NYDN writes:
There's a new cougar in the neighborhood: "Weeds" star Mary-Louise Parker has snagged herself a much younger musician.
Parker, 45 has been dating Charlie Mars, 35, since June, and when the Emmy-nominated actress was in Los Angeles last week to attend the awards show, the couple couldn't keep their hands off each other, People.com reports. More...

You can be flaming hot and still be a cougar, but 35 may be a little old to be considered cougar chow. If she were dating a 25 year old...
God, this word again. Enough.
I hate the word; I also find it ironic that the younger man in this case looks older than she does. Maybe we should recognize the fact that age differences between adults are meaningless.
I seriously wish this word would die already. I'd rather be called the other c-word.
