Or at the very least, I hope it is, because no one should be watching What Lies Beneath with sincerity.
The Faculty? I Know What You Did Last Summer? The original Buffy the Vampire Slayer? (Full disclosure: I own that, and I may have watched it as recently as two months ago.) Either the person writing this has an excellent grasp of what movies are hilarious to watch when you’re absolutely trashed, or they are the least ironic person on the plant next to Kenneth the page. (And their taste in movies sucks.) Here’s the full list, in case you want to party the Cosmo way this Halloween:
1. I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER
Kings of the late-’90s teen genre, Ryan Phillippe and Freddie Prinze Jr. light up the screen in this classic. Plus, you can’t go wrong with a shirtless Phillippe in a locker room scene.
2. THE CRAFT
This flick sets you up with the perfect role-play scenario: uniforms, Goth attitudes, and a spell that can control the hottest boy in school.
Smokin’ hot Shia LaBeouf plays a teenager on house arrest, causing him to become a voyeur as he spies on his foxy neighbor. Oh yeah, and then sees a murder next door.
4. INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE
Dracula ain’t got nothing on Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise, the provocative vampire stars of this film.
Skeet Ulrich and Neve Campbell portray a sexy-turned-scary couple. With tons of suspenseful scenes, it’s the perfect excuse to request your crush for protection.
6. BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER
What’s hotter than a blond babe kicking vampire butt? Added bonus: Cutie Luke Perry is her love interest.
7. THE FACULTY
This high school might be filled with teachers who are aliens, but the student body is packed with cuties like Josh Hartnett and Elijah Wood.
8. WHAT LIES BENEATH
Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer make one good-looking couple in this psychological thriller. Don’t miss the scene where they decide to take on their neighbors in a “who can make love the loudest” competition.
9. AMERICAN PSYCHO
Ordinarily, we’d feel guilty for being attracted to a psycho killer, but somehow Christian Bale’s suave character remains sexy. Oh, and the scenes of his ripped body don’t hurt, either.
10. A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET (1984)
Check out a young Johnny Depp in this horror movie where villain Freddy Krueger invades the characters’ dreams.
