Breaking: College Students Like to Drink, Have Sex

The Journal of American College Health is publishing a new study that reports university students in coed housing are 2.5 times more likely to binge drink every week, and that they are also likely to have more sexual partners, and use pornography more. Additional information revealed that most college students prefer to live in co-ed dorms, and many students in single-sex housing are not there by choice. Even more shocking: the desire to binge drink apparently crosses all boundaries of age, gender, and personality. But come on, what else are they going to do? Adult Swim is terrible these days, and they're not going start writing that paper on panopticism until the night before.

Seriously though, there was a study conducted to find this information out? With money and time and effort? I could have found this out from my Facebook live feed on Saturday. But ever since I was a little kid, I knew that college was a land of no rules, like Bangkok or the island from Lord of the Flies. I'm pretty sure that's the whole premise behind it. That "higher education" thing is a fringe benefit, right?
