The Most Adultery-Prone Careers Include Cops, Teachers, New York Governors

Do you hate the let's-help-cheaters-be-dishonest website Ashley Madison as much as we do? Well, before you send an e-mail virus their way, perhaps we should consider their good points, like showing us what kind of people are most likely going to commit adultery so, you know, we can be more paranoid.
Some websites, including Boing Boing, culled dating from the profiles on AshleyMadison.com to determine which professions are most popular among the "Married People Seeking Affairs" crowd:
For Women:
1. Teachers
2. Stay-at-home Moms
3. Nurses
4. Administrative Assistants
5. Real Estate AgentsFor Men:
1. Physicians
2. Police Officers
3. Lawyers
4. Real Estate Agents
5. Engineers
As one commenter notes that "'...author Charles Orlando interviewed 1,200-plus women and 400+ men...' The data generated from this 'survey' is from far too small of a pool to get any sort of realistic numbers" and another wonders if, you know, something like 80% of the population works those jobs anyway.

Of course, there is no possibility that some of the men in the survey were trying to appear rich by claiming to be doctors, lawyers, and engineers, and macho and mysterious by claiming to be cops. I am surprised that fireman was not one of the top 5.
Agreed. Should have said: "Most Adulterous Careers: Whatever you want to be when you grow up."
Third baseman for the NY Yankees, greatest golfer in the world, 41st US President not on the list. Hmmm...
What about "interns"?
So, women physicians, police officers, lawyers and engineers don't cheat as much as their male counterparts do? And I agree with the other posters, except the first one, firemen? Seriously?
@BSL: My point was that many men are not above lying about their profession in the hopes of getting laid, which makes the whole survey suspect.
What is it about real estate agents?
Too much free time, ZQ, and access to many vacant bedrooms.
Sales should be on there but isn't, because sales people don't need a web site to generate opportunity. I'm a male engineer, and if I wanted to cheat, I might use a web site because I just don't come into contact with a whole lot of women in my line if work. This would also explain why stay-at-home moms are on there.
Real estate agents have that sleaziness just like salesmen. Lawyers are full of themselves with that pseudo-knowledge they possess.
oh how dumb! This is just the most popular careers by gender, period. I could claim that I work in an affair-free career but uh, that's cuz I'm one of the few women who actually work in my field! Nonetheless, I will use this study to remind myself and others of my moral superiority. :-)
To TwL: I LOVE your re-title! Hi-larious!
@meh... on my browser the women's list was on top, yet yow wowed us by saying that only men lie twice: by deceitful adultery and lying about work. You are so brilliant in your focus on the bottom list of male liars vs. the 'innocent victims' in the top list of liars/adulterers. Thank you for that.
Real estate agents are not to be trusted, it seems.
Man, you wrote a long post.
I actually love how it’s easy on my wide opened eyes and the facts are well written.
hahahaha! That is classic point of view.
Hi! I’ve just stopped by to say thanks for this nice entry. Take care!
Aloha mate! I quite agree with your opinion.
Hey dude! I fully agree with your thoughts. I’ve just shared it on Facebook.
