Crystal Renn puts on boots for TUSH

So-called "plus-size" model Crystal Renn is back after a two-month hiatus, and her photo shoot for TUSH, while lacking in tush-ness, is as arousing as ever.

Renn, who may be curvy but is far from the poster girl for representing the "plus-size" label, is always up for pushing standards of beauty in new directions. I'll let you make your own jugments about what she's up to here in farm-girl getups, complete with side boob and crotch shots.

In related news, plus-size model April Flores went to American Apparel to ask them about their lack of selection for people in her size. Their response? "That's not our demographic."

She's gorgeous, but I'm failing to see how she falls under "plus sized"

Seriously, plus-sized?

I guess Ms. Ren is plus sized since her size is not negative or Zero.

Is it possible she used to be plus sized and has lost weight?

Maybe by fashion industry standards she's plus size, but if she's larger than a size 6-8 I'll eat my shoe.

wat?

she's not plus sized, she's normal sized. calling her plus sized is wrong. plus sized = big boned = code for fat.

She's definitely a plus size. She herself has claimed to be a size 12 in interviews. These pictures are just deceiving because you can't see her rolls.

Did she lose a fuckload of weight or something? I Googled "Crystal Renn," and this woman looks nothing like her.

in fashion, "straight size" models are 0-4 and "plus" is anything beyond. Crystal Renn is a 10/12. This terminology is causing all kinds of confusion with the way "plus-sized" is used by everyone else, which means size 16 and up. Crystal Renn never was "plus" in that sense, and I love that she's increasingly photographed in ways that don't distort her body to make it seem large - the fashion industry has such horrible dysmorphia when it comes to female bodies that have ANY flesh on them, it even shows up through the camera.

au contraire -- CR used to be quite a bit heavier than this -- the last photos i saw of her she was probably more of a 16. it would appear that this self-proclaimed lover of natural curves has indeed lost some weight. let's just hope she doesn't starve herself to a size 0 again....

How ridiculous that the fashion industry classes this gorgeous, healthy woman as 'plus sized.' No wonder women and girls have such skewed body images.

Only if you think plus sized is a bad thing.

Many women lumbering down the street towards the nearest muckdonalds while demanding most of the sidewalk have more meat hanging off their arses than in a Chinese chop shop.
More-so, They are deleriously happy in their skin, and love the stacatto sound their hip makes as it brushes the picket fences as they pass volumptuously by, so what demographic are these people fantasizing about catering to again?
