Pasties And A G-String: The 2010 Mermaid Parade
By Brian FairbanksJune 21st, 2010, 12:05 pmComments (4)
The 21st -- and, as some fear, the last-ever -- Coney Island Mermaid Parade kicked off on Saturday in Brooklyn, New York, led by grouchy King Lou Reed and sunny Queen Laurie Anderson, and featuring the usual bevvy of half-naked Mermaids. Sorry ladies, we were there and didn't see any sexy sailor mermaids. They all presumably drowned in the Gulf.

Always fun and too crowded. Lou Reed looked like a grandpa. Still amazing, though.
God, it was hell getting around. Turns out I had to ride the cyclone just because the ride's exit was the only way through the police barricade.
the mermaid in the last picture on the right is so pretty!
