Amanda Palmer covers Radiohead on the ukelele
By Lindsay CutlerJuly 20th, 2010, 1:31 pmComments (8)Do you like Amanda Palmer? Do you find her music arresting and honest, or an affected throwback to pre-war Germany and mimes? Maybe cabaret isn't your thing. Regardless, this woman has style, success and can play a mean ukelele. How many people do you know that can cover Radiohead on a ukelele? And of that small pool, how many of them are engaged to Neil Gaiman? (None of them, that's who.)
It's pretty fun stuff. "Fake Plastic Trees" basically sounds the same, but she does a great cover of "Idioteque."

Love it.
heh, my boyfriend plays almost all of ok computer on the ukelele. So I think I know one more than most people who can cover radiohead on the ukelele. He's not engaged to Neil Gaiman, however.
Never heard of this Amanda Palmer, but great track.
Strangely, I too have heard someone cover Radiohead on the Uke (Fake Plastic Trees, as it happens). A random dude at a wedding who claimed to be Adam Sandler's cousin.
Nice, post more music, love this.
I'm weirdly disappointed to learn she's engaged to Neil Gaiman. I was happier thinking they were working on creative projects together just because they admired each other as artists.
Played this song at a concert tonight, unfortunately there was no ukulele
Your article was excellent and edurite.
