Today's a great day for talent; comedienne/writer Julie Klausner's hilarious memoir on men and dating will be adapted into an HBO series starring Party Down's adorably sardonic Lizzy Caplan, who also played the adorably sardonic Janis Ian in Mean Girls.

Will Ferrell and Adam McKay will executive produce the show, which will make this their first real female-centric project to date. Collaborations between the two are usually enjoyable, but I can't say I'm as excited for the other upcoming Ferrell/McKay project, a modern remake of All the President's Men. Kidding: it's called The Virginity Hit and it's exactly what you think it is.

Nerve published an essay of Klausner's not too long ago. If the show is nearly as funny as Klausner's writing, we're in for a treat.

I'd like to see Lizzy Caplan in a non-whiny role. Will this be the one?
