New Brian Eno album will come out later this year

Will it be a collaborative album? Yes! Does this mean we’ll get to hear more David Byrne? Unfortunately, no. Eno’s teaming up with Jon Hopkins, an electronic producer and Eno protege as well as Leo Abrahams, who played guitar on the last Byrne/Eno album, Everything That Will Happen Will Happen Today.

Pitchfork announced that the English electronic label Warp will release the album sometime this year (and tantalizingly so). You’ll just have to watch Velvet Goldmine -which we all have mixed feelings about – on loop until it comes out.
