Eighth Weezer album coming in September; brace for impact

Weezer's eighth album will come out in September on Epitaph Records, according to The AV Club, who have nobly maintained a subscription to Weezer's Twitter feed despite the band's numerous outrages against good taste. Anyone hoping for another Pinkerton probably won't take much hope from the title — Hurley — but Rivers Cuomo (who's promising "more raw rock energy on this one") is ever-unpredictable; he may yet surprise us with another good album. (Meaning an album like the first one and Pinkerton and unlike the two mixed bags and three stinkers that followed.)
