Eva Mendes and Cee Lo Green release the video for their song “Pimps Don’t Cry”

Wow, Eva Mendes sure is on a roll this week. (It's like she has some sort of movie coming out that she's trying to promote, or something!) Mendes joined forces with Cee Lo Green (one half of Gnarls Barkley, also the father of a really horrifying girl who was once on an episode of My Super Sweet Sixteen, not like I'd know because I have definitely never watched that show or anything) to release her second Funny or Die video this week. This time, she's "girl number five" to Green's pimp with a pharaoh's beard in the video for the, uh…I think I will call it "spoken word" slow jam, "Pimps Don't Cry":

That's pretty good — and, bizarrely, composed by Jon Brion — but I'm not sure if it tops my favorite musical pimp-related moment, which would be Three Six Mafia's insane performance of "Hard Out Here For a Pimp" at the Academy Awards:

It's all about the context. Well, that and Taraji P. Henson's insane scream-wail of the word "pimp" at the very end of the song. You just can't make that shit up.
