Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet in Revolutionary Road

Julie Christie and Warren Beatty allegedly broke up for good when Beatty saw Christie's steamy sex scenes with Donald Southerland in Don't Look Now. Now, it seems that Kate Winslet and Sam Mendes may have broken up because of her sex scenes with Leonardo DiCaprio — but for entirely different reasons.

Regarding their 2008 flick Revolutionary Road, which Winslet's then-husband directed, DiCaprio claims that the trouble started there:

“It was certainly a difficult time,” DiCaprio is quoted as saying. “She was really worried that Sam wasn't bothered by the fact that his wife was making out with another guy right in front of her. I told her it was only acting, but she kept on saying, ‘This is really weird’.

“When Sam started telling her exactly how to have sex with me she didn't like it at all. She was freaking out because she was supposed to be having sex with her best friend – me – while her husband directed.

“But I didn't find it weird at all. It didn't bother me, because that's part of acting.” [SMH]

DiCaprio says the breakup was also due to the couples' "hectic work schedules," but it sounds to us that Winslet needed a man who is as head-over-heels for her as we are.
