Watch Arsenio Hall explode at Queer Nation protester in vintage clip

On his blog, comedian Aziz Ansari just posted this 1991 clip of Arsenio Hall losing his temper when a group of protesters from the gay-rights organization Queer Nation interrupted his show claiming he never booked gay guests. Among other things, it's a fascinating time capsule from a time — not that long ago! — when the subject of homosexuality was far more incendiary even than it is today. That said, check out the comment debate under Ansari's own two-line blog post ("Arsenio goin ham!!! I can’t stop watching this!!!!"); incendiary may still be the word. You can also read more about the incident in this 1992 EW interview with Hall ("If I were homophobic, I'd lose half of my staff and a lot of my guests.")
