The Vaselines band reunited

After releasing the cult album to end all cult albums, The Vaselines split for twenty years, disappointing all thirteen people who saw them live. The band later had a career-making revival when Kurt Cobain covered a few of their songs (which was all it took to be famous back then), though they were still a disbanded, one-album band. But The Vaselines are back — seemingly where they left off — to release their second album and video to their title track, "Sex With an X."

Apart from the nun and vicar bender, it's has all the lovely trappings of an early-nineties music video:

  • Flickering, often annoying sunshine
  • Super fun road trips
  • Whimsy
  • Gentle blaspheming

Sex With an X will be released by Sub Pop, of course, on September 14.
