I can never quite keep track of how many different BBCs England has. As far as I can tell, BBC One is the old-school original one, BBC Two is the cool one that sneaks cigarettes behind the bleachers, BBC Three is the black one, and BBC Four is the one that will be airing an opera about Anna Nicole Smith, which exists.
Britain's Royal Opera House is producing this real thing — titled Anna Nicole — and the BBC today confirmed that they'll broadcast the premiere of this actual event, which is set to take place February 11, 2011. According to the Royal Opera House, this "celebratory story of our times that includes extreme language, drug abuse and sexual content" is, indeed, happening.
I can't help but think of those beer commercials where the bro is all like, "Oh man, I really want to drink beer and watch the Big Game, but I gotta go to the opera with the lady," but everything ends up being okay when he realizes that not only can he totally sneak in his own beer under his rented tux, but also that, whoa!, this opera is about Anna Nicole Smith, sweet! Then again, I'm not even sure if England has bros.
