Meghan McCain on Sarah Palin

Meghan McCain has always been one of Scanner's favorite Republicans. As the daughter of one of the strangest men in American politics, McCain has always caught our attention for her outspoken views on gay marriage and the showing of her boobs on Twitter.

McCain has a new book out about her life in politics with a title that works us up even more about her: Dirty Sexy Politics.

Its the reason you haven't heard her dish the dirt on life with the Palins and whether it's true Sarah was only in the game for the money, fame and wardrobe additions. (Definitely, but we knew that back in '08.)

[McCain says Palin] brought "drama, stress, complications, panic and loads of uncertainty" to the losing campaign.

McCain admits that she wanted her father to pick Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) as his running mate, though she told ABC News that she doesn't think Palin was the reason her father lost. [Political Wire]

[She] refers to Palin as "the Time Bomb," and calls her selection the very definition of the "line between genius and insanity."

"Sarah Palin. She was turning out to be somebody who leaves a wake of confusion and chaos — to the point of dizziness — wherever she went. She was a sudden, freakishly huge, full-fledged phenomenon. It seemed too much."

She also writes vaguely about the Romney boys, who are accused of engaging in "crazy sex" or something:

"Crazy-sex, in case some clarification is necessary, is a category of sex on its own. It is sex with somebody who is extremely bad for you. Somebody you probably don't even like that much. But on the road, things have a way of changing… Campaign goggles can distort reality very powerfully and are the cause of almost all crazy-sex and other campaign hookups."
