Hey, Philip, excellent interview, seriously -- you're quick with the gab, as quick as the Amis himself. But, God, what I really loved were the graphics ... that shot of Amis, looking rancidly and triumphantly senior, and the hilarious pic of you, face askance, revealing only scurrilous stubble and a priapic pool cue in some mephitically evil den ... really establishes the tone, what with all the facial shots (ha ha, that [ie. contemporary sex routines] came us much as a surprise to me as to you, ha ha). Lovely intro. btw -- all the commas in the right places, and engaging. My first time to this site -- thank the Hitch for the hot link here -- and was very pleased: daring design ... all that hard-to-trot undownloadable black worked well in a fingers-up to current design logic ... Am sitting here in South Africa, getting pissed (drunk, to you Americanos, or whatever blighted ethnicity you cleave to), and generally fcuking about ... Christ, what a loser I am. Still, Phil, a sharp and entertaining read. If it's okay with you, I'll be back ..

you can do a search for it, just plug in "martin amis porn chloe rough trade" and it'll come up. It was reprinted in the Guardian newspaper, which is archived online.

how good ... democracy of the midriff, preponderant american emissions, weak and exhausted with child the color of inner tubes in corner -- great stuff. i haven't read the book but now i am inclined to despite the bandwagon bashing.
