Tafv Sampson‘s images beg questioning. Her subjects’ stare—often the glare from her close friends—feels caught mid-sentence; she captures their intrigue. Tafv’s series are reminiscent of Nan Goldin’s sincerity; her uncanny ability to capture the supposedly candid. Tafv gives more allowance for narrative, allowing her photographs to string us along a story we wish wouldn’t end.
